Restorative Yoga - Downshift & Self-Soothe
WEDNESDAY APRIL 1, 2020
4-5pm EST/ 1 - 2pmPST
Please come as you are! If you want a chance to check-in and say hi (kind of like what we do before class begins), log-on up to 15min early and I’ll have our video & audio on so we can talk with each other. I recently spent the weekend with Margo Rosingina of Maine Yoga School and received the certification to teach this much needed (IMO) style of yoga.
Restorative yoga is all about slowing down, supporting the nervous system, nesting and resting. There will BE few supine shapes for the time we spend together. I believe stillness is a powerful practice in times like these. For many of us, stillness can be easier when practiced collectively with someone creating a safe container. I hope you’ll consider joining even if this practice is new to you. Clinical research into restorative yoga has found that it can improve symptoms of anxiety and depression. Prepare yourself for deep relaxation.
If you have yoga props, groovy, use ‘em!
If not, below is what I will be using.
Blankets: towels, throws, blankets
Bolsters: pillows from couch or bed
Strap: a long scarf, belt or dog leash
Blocks: cans, books
Sliding Scale: $5 - 20
If your cash flow is low, I'm willing to barter or trade for other services. I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the ukulele;)
*No one will be turned away for lack of friends. Lol, I meant to type lack of funds. Either way please sign up if you need to move and breathe in the community.
Upon registration, you will receive a link to access the class via Zoom.
